SUKKUR (May 7):

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reiterated the commitment of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to inclusive governance by engaging party workers at every level in the budget-making process and local development initiatives. Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto's directive to involve grassroots workers in shaping a pro-poor budget and development agenda underscores the party's dedication to empowering its base.

Addressing party workers in Sukkur, CM Murad Ali Shah emphasized the importance of incorporating the input of every party member to uplift local communities. The meeting, attended by key PPP figures including Sindh President Nisar Khuhro and provincial ministers, served as a platform for workers to voice their concerns and propose solutions for local development.

Highlighting the significance of party workers' input, CM Murad Ali Shah encouraged them to submit proposals through district and divisional channels for consideration in budget allocation and development projects. Minister P&D Nasir Shah outlined the process for workers to submit their suggestions, underscoring the party's commitment to facilitating public participation in governance.

PPP MNA Khursheed Shah emphasized the need to empower local bureaucracy to address community issues effectively. Issues raised during the meeting ranged from water scarcity to unemployment, reflecting the diverse challenges faced by communities in Ghotki, Khairpur, and Sukkur districts.

Among the grievances expressed were concerns over job opportunities, allocation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds, and the need for increased local budgetary allocations. Party workers advocated for solar-powered water supply, sanitation facilities, and improved road infrastructure in their respective areas.

The meeting commenced with prayers for PPP's founding leaders, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohterma Benazir Bhutto, and Begum Nusrat Bhutto, underscoring the party's enduring commitment to their legacy.

In addition to CM Murad Ali Shah and other party leaders, several grassroots workers voiced their concerns and expectations for inclusive development, reaffirming PPP's grassroots-driven approach to governance.
