Statement regarding military leadership, Defense Minister called Imran Khan a threat to national security.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif termed Imran Khan as a threat to national security and said that Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf is making the procedure of appointment in the army controversial.
While giving a press conference in Islamabad, Khawaja Asif said that when the institution and its leadership are neutral, they are observing the oath, then we should respect them.
He said that Imran Khan is making the appointment procedure in the army controversial, Imran Khan has made many appointments made during his rule a subject of politics. Still, politicians should deal with political battles in the political arena.
He said that India has been attacking our economy and defense from the beginning, and now Imran Khan is continuously attacking the economy and defense of the country, Imran Khan wants chaos in the country.
Khawaja Asif said that this person has become a threat to the security of the country, there will be long legal proceedings against Imran Khan in the coming time, he will not do anything illegal with Imran Khan, even against the worst political opponents, the constitution and Action will be taken according to law.
The defense minister said that Imran Khan targeted the people of the army leadership and tried to spread doubt, the job of the Pakistan army is to secure the borders and the people of this land, it is not the job of the military to provide security to the political leaders. If they do, it is a breach of oath.
The federal minister said that legal experts will examine all aspects to take action against Imran Khan's statement on military leadership.
The Defense Minister said that the issue of the appointment of the Army Chief should not be made a part of the public debate. The advice of the Pakistan Army or Army Chief will be the first priority.
