The world-famous Pakistani film  Joyland which won the Jury Award at the Cannes Film Festival will hit the Pakistani cinemas on November 24.

The federal and provincial censor boards have issued a release certificate to Joyland, which is being released on the platform of Distribution Club.

It has been decided to release the world-famous Pakistani film Joyland, which won the Jury Award at the Cannes Film Festival of France and the Best Film Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, in Pakistani cinemas, and the said film T20 Cricket World. After the cup, it will be screened in cinemas across the country including Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad on November 24 this year.

Joyland premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival in France, where it was awarded with great acclaim and success, and the film won two awards, the Jury Award and the Queer Palm at the Cannes Film Festival.

Filmmakers and film critics from all over the world praised Joyland after which Joyland also won the best film award at the Indian Film Festival of Australia.

Directed by Saeem Sadiq, Joyland is based on a fictional story that highlights the incidents in the life of transgender people in a thought provoking manner. The cast of Joyland includes Ali Junejo, Rasti Farooq, Aleena Khan and Sarwat Geelani.

Executive Director Distribution Club Sheikh Abid Rasheed said that the Censor Boards of Federation, Punjab and Sindh have issued certificates for the screening of Joyland in cinemas across the country with a couple of cuts and now the preparations for the release of the film are final. Phases have been entered.

The versatile artist Sarmad Sultan Khost, who is one of the producers of Joyland, said that Joyland is an interesting story-based film that has gained worldwide attention due to its sensitive subject.

He said that in the next few days the teaser and trailer of Joyland will be released and regular promotion will be started.
